One Hundred and Six

Most Points in a Season

One hundred points in a season has only become a feasibility since the introduction of three points for a win in 1981 – York City being the first to achieve this mark in 1983-84. However it is possible to translate earlier seasons to three points a win to draw up the following table of teams that would have reached one hundred points. Steve Coppell's Football League Champions from 2005-06 and Graham's Taylor's Lincoln side from 1975-76 both have 106 points under three points per win (P3), although Reading are narrowly ahead on two points per win (P2).
